Author: Michael Trzeciakiewicz, BA, CADC
Michael Trzeciakiewicz is the Site Director at CORAS Wellness in Dover, Delaware, where he oversees a team of counselors and therapists providing comprehensive Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and outpatient services. With a hands-on approach to leadership, Michael is known for facilitating group sessions, conducting individual counseling, and building personal connections with patients—he knows most of the clinic's clients on a first-name basis. After nearly 18 years in banking, Michael transitioned into addiction treatment because he wanted to be in the "helping people business." He manages a dedicated team of four certified alcohol and drug counselors and a licensed clinical social worker, emphasizing compassion, evidence-based practices, and treating the whole person—not just the addiction. Under his leadership, the Dover clinic has maintained a stable, experienced counseling team and adopted progressive policies like expanded take-home privileges that give patients more flexibility and dignity in their recovery. Michael believes in meeting patients where they are, addressing everything from mental health and housing to employment and family support. His philosophy is simple: "I work for my team, they don't work for me," and "there isn't anything I would ask my team to do that I wouldn't roll up my sleeves and do with them."
